Wow, it's been a crazy long time since I've blogged. I've been busy. I know, we all have been. We're in the process of repositioning our company, Abstract Edge. It's a lot of work.
What are we doing? Well, I'm not quite yet ready to get into too much detail. I'll just say, for now, that it's a lot more focused than where we've been in the past.
Seth Godin just wrote a new book that's all about that very topic. I just saw this post and wanted to point to it... in fact, it's so apropos I'm going to just quote it...
It's time for us to be the best in the world at something...I did a gig in New York today about the Dip and it went really well. Afterward, someone asked me a question about his new business.
I asked back, "if you accomplish that, will you be seen by your audience as the best in the world, or will you be seen as doing your best?"
He didn't have to answer. He got it.
If you're doing your best, only your AYSO soccer coach cares. If you're the best in the world, the market cares. The secret, if you have limited resources (don't we all) is to make 'world' small enough that you can actually accomplish that.
